Carolyn A. Witt, LMT, NCTMB, CMLDT, CAP
Carolyn owns and operates Lotus of the Lake. She studied the principals of Ayurveda and natural health sciences since 1998. She was formally trained as a CAP (Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner) through Ayurveda Academy, in Seattle, WA, now known as Kerala Academy. Furthering her studies in the advanced principles of Ayurveda, she traveled to Bangalore and Pune in India) during 2006-2007. After returning, she continued her education and graduated from Milan Institute in Sparks, NV, in their 720-hour Massage Therapy Program. Upon graduating she passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Exam. This exam gave her national certification as a NCTMB (Nationally Certified Therapist, Massage and Bodywork) and a License of Massage Therapy (LMT) from the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapists. Carolyn’s massage techniques specialize in therapeutic modalities including Integrated Massage, Deep Tissue, Stone Therapy, and Eastern techniques such as Ayurvedic massage, Aromatherapy, Acupressure and Shiatsu. In addition, Carolyn is a trained and Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (CMLDT) with successful completion of the Klose Training program (Vodder technique) in Sante Fe, New Mexico, a modality beneficial for those with chronic conditions such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, cancer, and individuals susceptible for Lymphedema. MLD therapy has been shown to be effective in enhancing the body’s recovery from surgical procedures. Along with the above techniques, Carolyn continues to study additional complimentary alternative medicine modalities to further enhance her practice for her clients.
